How it works
Fromsigninguptoowningshares,stepbystep
No jargon and no hidden steps. This is exactly what happens, in the order it happens.
1. Open your account
You register with your email address and a password, then confirm your name and phone number. Nothing else is required to look around the platform.
2. Complete identity verification
Nigerian regulation requires investment accounts to be verified. Bayse guides you through six short steps: personal details, BVN, NIN, residential address, a photo ID upload, and an investor profile covering your experience and objectives. You can stop and resume; the platform always shows which step you are on.
3. Fund your naira wallet
Your wallet holds naira between investments. You can see three figures at all times: available (ready to invest), reserved (committed to open orders) and pending (money on its way in). Nothing is hidden inside a single total.
4. Choose an investment
Browse listed companies and REITs by sector, price, dividend yield or size. Each instrument page shows the price, the day and 52-week range, volume, valuation figures and a one-year price history, plus a short description of what the business actually does.
5. Review the exact cost, then confirm
You choose a quantity and an order type — a market order at the best available price, or a limit order at a price you set. Before you confirm, Bayse shows the share value, broker commission, exchange and regulatory charges, VAT, the Bayse fee, and the final total.
6. Execution and settlement
Your order is transmitted to a licensed broker-dealer partner for execution on the exchange. Once filled, the trade settles and your ownership is recorded through licensed custody infrastructure and the CSCS. You can follow every status change in your order history.
7. Holding, dividends and selling
Your portfolio shows each holding, your average cost, current value, and gain or loss in naira and percent. Dividends declared by companies you hold appear with the gross amount, withholding tax and net credit. When you want to exit, you sell and the proceeds return to your wallet.
Who does what
Bayseisthetechnology,notthebroker
Bayse Integrated Services Limited builds and operates the platform. It does not execute trades on the exchange itself and does not hold your assets.
Bayse
The account, the data, the order screens, the portfolio, the records and the support you deal with.
Licensed broker-dealer partner
Receives your order and executes it on the Nigerian Exchange under its own licence.
Custodian and CSCS
Records ownership of your securities in your own investor account, independent of Bayse.
Bayse Integrated Services Limited is pursuing a Digital Sub-Broker licence from the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) Nigeria. Until that licence is granted and partner agreements are formalised, this platform operates as a sandbox with simulated market data and simulated money.
